I just learned about another guy tonight with a fun style:

Here's my whacky contribution with editing done using Topaz Adjust:
This is called "No Swimming Today" and it was taken at Conneaut Lake Park in Pennsylvania. This is an abandoned amusement park and anyone can just walk around and check out the stuff. It surprised me the kind of access we had to everything. There were even two burned out arcade buildings still standing. Dangerous situation for people with too much time on their hands. Anyway, if you are in the area, it's a fun place to go and take pictures.

Photography
So I'm 40 years old now. I teach math part-time. I have a family. And I'm not sure where I am headed in life. A few years ago I joined a photo challenge website (this is a link to my portfolio) DP Challenge and have been hooked on digital photography now since 2006. I've only taken one basic photography class and have been toying with the idea of going back to school to learn more. I'm inching closer to committing to it. I applied today. And now the big trick will be getting funding for it. So I guess stay tuned.
What I'm using right now: an Olympus E-500 camera and a Sunpak 383 flash. I have a lot of learning to do :)
Today I was reading the August/September issue of After Capture magazine and I found a link to a commercial photographer's website: Chris Clor - I think I would like to be able to do work like he does! There is a special sort of whim about his people photos.

A New Year!
Thought I'd start off the year with my very own blogspot!
A question for today: How did you learn how to tie a balloon? My middle child asked us this tonight. The kids were blowing up balloons and he asked me to tie it. And I got the typical million questions:
How do you do that?
How do you know?
Who taught you how to do this?
My answer of course was: I don't know.
And I really don't know how I learned. Someone taught me I guess. But it's not something I've ever had to think about before. It's just something I just DO. And now of course, I have to figure out how to teach my 7 year old how to do this so he too, can some day just "know" how to do it.
